Australians have conclusively proved that their system churns out good players. It is not necessary that it may work for us but can be studied and modified to our requirements.
Dave Whatmore would have been a better choice compared to the two who have been shortlisted.He has good experience as a coach. But everyone knows about Gavaskar's allergy to Australians and unfortunately he happens to be in the helm of affairs along with his other good old friends ravi Shastry and Vengsarkar.There is no better way to squander money for BCCI without getting results than appointing one of the two as a coach.
Indian cricket will improve only all ex players are removed from active participation in team, Coach selection etc and senior players told just play and mind their business instead of politicking.
